Le Metier marks the next chapter for our Strandgade 98 location — and our most ambitious undertaking to date.

For the past ten years, Lalala has been a driving force in our lifes.
Now, we are building upon that history with an even more focused gastronomic expression: a restaurant rooted deeply in the traditions of French cuisine,
standing on the shoulders of the legendary Grand Brasseries of France.

At the heart of Le Metier lies "le métier" itself — the Craft we have chosen as a way of life.

The patience to make things properly. Craftsmanship made of ingredients sourced from passionate producers and craftsmen. The knowledge passed from one generation to the next. The beauty of a perfectly made pâté en croûte, a carefully pressed terrine, a sauce given the time it deserves, or a dessert prepared entirely in-house.
"Fait maison" - not as a slogan, but as a mantra.

This philosophy extends from the kitchen and beyond. It is also found in the way a table is set, a bottle is opened, a dish is presented, and a guest is welcomed. We believe that genuine hospitality is a craft too — one that should feel effortless, warm, present and personal.

We have brought together an exceptionally strong international team, with experience from some of the most respected restaurants in Denmark and abroad, including Kadeau, Jordnær, Studio, Septime, Dandelion, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, The Fat Duck, Dinner by Heston and The Ledbury.

We are not here to recreate what we have done before, nor to imitate the restaurants we have learned from. We have brought those experiences with us — the techniques, the discipline, the curiosity and, above all, the respect for the craft — and combined them to create something of our own.

Le Metier is our most personal and ambitious restaurant yet.
